The position requires an understanding of cyber security, cloud, CMDB, security operations and automation, and experience on system administration.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

  • Specifically, the resource will perform the following responsibilities under the guidance and supervision of the Senior IT Officer (Information Security) and in some situations, the Principal IT Specialist (Information Security):
  • Perform cyber security hygiene on ensuring security tools and controls are set on resources being migrated from on-prem vdc to Azure vdc.
  • Assist security configuration reviews, and solution design and functional requirements document reviews.
  • Update and maintain CMDB asset information as we migrate to Azure. Assist on discovering new devices and service mappings.
  • Contribute on enhancing cyber security hygiene checks and process through automation.
  • Assist in the development, update, or review of information security regulations and processes.
  • Spot opportunities to improve or strengthen security controls or processes in own areas of work.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirement and Qualification (Education & Work Experience)

  • 2 to 5 years of cyber security, unix or linux administration, security compliance or related experience.
  • Applied knowledge of one or more languages - Python, bash script, Powershell, scripting.
  • Knowledgeable on CMDB, security tools, OWASP Top 10.
  • Have good working knowledge in computer networks, database, Win/Linux OS security, web applications.
  • Bachelors degree Computer Systems related field.
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented, lifelong learner, solutions oriented.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to operate in a matrixed environment. Ability to articulate ideas and present them meaningfully in a verbal or written context.
  • Should be able to establish good networking relationships with colleagues in own unit, within ITD, and in some cases, outside of ITD.
  • Should be able to anticipate security risks or issues, provide recommendations to the supervisor on addressing those issues, or address the less complex ones
  • Carries out work independently and proactively with minimal supervision or follow up

Job Type: Fixed termContract length: 12 months

Pay: Php110,000.00 - Php165,000.00 per month
