JOB ROLE FOR ESTIMATOR (SUPERIOR GROUP)

What are we looking for?We are seeking a high-performing Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in competitive tendering, understands the intricacies of Tier 1 contracting, and is passionate about securing high-value work.

What are you expected to do?

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial wall and ceiling projects.

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs using OnCenter Software (or similar tools).

• Develop comprehensive tender packs for suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost accuracy.

• Review RFPs, RFIs, and contract documents, ensuring clear, compliant, and timely responses.

• Submit compelling quotations to head contractors and participate in contract negotiations.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Identify client challenges and provide value-added solutions to meet their needs.

• Drive new business opportunities through proactive client engagement and prospecting.

• Represent Superior in discussions with executive stakeholders, clearly articulating business value.

• Collaborate closely with the Estimating Manager to refine bid strategies.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance tendering efficiency.

• Mentor junior estimators (if applicable) and demonstrate best-practice estimating techniques.

Youll be a great fit if:

• Minimum 5 years experience in estimating (fit-outs, walls/ceilings, or related trades).

• Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering or relevant trade qualification.

• Proficiency in take-off software (OnCenter preferred).

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to price competitively while protecting margins.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and influence.

• High-level time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive problem-solver who identifies risks and opportunities early in the bid process.

___________________What happens after you submit your application?

The whole process takes around 4 weeks:

• There will be 3-4 interviews and a possible assessment from our client partner. You will undergo an initial interview, a culture interview, and 1-2 interviews with our cool client. This will run for about 1-2 weeks but we will let you know if we need to ramp it up. Be yourself and have fun.

• We will constantly communicate with you as to the development of your application. You can also directly communicate with us to ask us about the status of your application.

• If all goes well, we complete the reference check and provide other necessary requirements so we can offer you the job right away.
