Category Management Indirect Analyst

The role of the Category Management Indirect Analyst is pivotal in acquiring goods and services in alignment with both departmental and organizational guidelines. This position plays a key role in assisting the global category team and regional teams across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the procurement of indirect goods and services for specific or complex requirements.
• Conduct e-sourcing activities adhering to organizational standards and legal regulations.
• Examine and verify sourcing requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Work in tandem with requesters to fine-tune purchase requisitions and specifications for subsequent orders.
• Ensure adherence to company policy in obtaining purchase approvals.
• Collaborate with Category Managers to explore and develop new sources for supplies, assessing the viability of Sourcing versus traditional procurement methods.
• Conduct detailed research and preparation for Sourcing specifications.
• Dispatch bid requests to multiple vendors and suppliers.
• Manage eRFP and eRFQ processes.
• Select vendors and suppliers based on criteria such as product quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee e-Sourcing events, including automated e-Auctions, using industry-standard tools.
• Promptly address and resolve order-related issues.
• Identify and vet suppliers of goods and services.
• Undertake analysis, supplier qualification, RFx processes, negotiations, contract drafting, and revision.
• Communicate with suppliers and project managers to ensure timely updates and details on goods.
• Participate in meetings with the legal department to negotiate favorable contractual terms.
• Work closely with the projects team to understand procurement needs in detail.

Role Ownership: The Category Management Indirect Analyst will be responsible for making optimal purchasing decisions, considering the requirements of internal stakeholders, economic factors, and company policies.

• Evaluate vendors on factors such as cost, reliability, performance, and transaction history.

• Negotiate with vendors for discounts and favorable terms.

• Ensure comprehensive and accurate purchasing documentation, including appropriate terms and conditions.

• Maintain vendor records and pricing histories.

• Execute additional related tasks as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation expertise.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• High level of organizational skill and attention to detail.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing and purchasing policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage time effectively.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelors degree in a related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in purchasing.
• English proficiency at B2 or C1 level.
